Abusive/innapropriate? Report this post.

Hello guys/girls,

It's been a while ago that I've migrated to MTT from cash, and had my reasons to stick at MTT, but IMO cash is the way to go 4 longterm.

Im a bit fedup with tournament/sng variance, so basicly im gonna make an effort to get back in to ring-games again, starting from 25nl with a 400$ bankroll.

The reason why I just dont put up 5k and play 100nl straight away is pretty simple:

1) Havent played cashgames in 2 years
2) Games have developped and become tougher
3) I love making a lot with the minimum investment
4) It's nice to help other people in their struggle breaking 25/50/100nl

Basicly im gonna start with a ~20 buyin on 25nl, and focussing on shorthanded (6max) tables, and regularly updating a lot of figures (ie, hands played, money won/lost, hands for discussion and ev graphs).

Any input on additional figures are ofcourse very welcome. Also id like to point out that its a challenge for me too, because i've been dried up for 2 years in ringgames Happy

Im gonna start tomorrow, 4 tabling 25nl, and after the first session ill make a report.

When you multi-table 4x 6-Seat tables are you really just trying to play a fairly standard game or are you able to adjust to how your opponents are playing? I certainly struggle when on more than 2 tables to get any good feel for my opponents so wondering how to develop this.

Im tired, grinded 8 hours and am up 5 buyins.

Played six-max only 4 tabling. Played 2k hands, and have a 10BB/100 hands (big bets, not big blinds). So pretty much crushing...

Was up 7 buyins at one point, but did get fu**ked up my behind by two hands AK-JJ ( i had AK) and AA vs KK (king on flop) so closed session with 124.89$ profit.

Will post graphs and some hands tomorrow...

(with cakeback im up another buyin)

Interesting plan mate, gl (not that I think you will need it).

Are you setting any targets at all, such as $ figure, stake or timeframe?

Also you planning on increasing your buy in requirements as you move up or keeping it at a steady 20?

Very interesting, been thinking of doing a stretch of cash myself so I look forward to following you on your journey. gl

End Of Hand #884798475

As you can see i 3bet Welchy ( who is a solid player for 25nl standards) pre, and he flatcalled oop with AJ. The flop was good an bad, but we both checked, and he leads out for 80% pot on turn.

At that point I realised that he might be taking a stab at the pot, and I felt that floating here would give me an oppurtunity on the river.

Total board is [6h Th Kd] [3d] [5c] on the river and he fires another barrel at me. At this moment im pretty disgusted, because my plan was him checking, and me betting the river - but he took the initiative again.

But then went through the hand, and realised his 3bet floating range oop will rarely have AA/KK/QQ/AK/AQ in it - so there is a possibility he's making a gutsy play with Ax-AJ (AQ means split pot). After deducting these hands I felt pretty positive about calling the river - a reshove would only be called with a hand that beats me, so i called and took down the pot.

Now im not making herocalls 24/7 because you will be wrong a lot of times, but in this spot i was so certain.

Destack, im gonna live by BRM- rules, although i didnt start with a 400$ roll ( a lot less, but can easily refund if necessary). So basicly when im up 10 buyins I would have a 650$ roll which would be enough for me to take shots a 50nl, but that isnt fair to beginners tracking this topic.

I want a 1k roll for 50nl, and a 2k roll for 100 and so on...

Im gonna try and post the EV graphs tonight after my second session. Its hard to find a good image hoster that doenst resize pics to 320-160 pixels.

Question for you about the hand Chips.

Why did you choose to 3-bet IP instead of flat calling your AQo?

Primarely information. I can fold to a 4bet, or take the pot down immediately.

Played another 1k session - will continue tonight, but here's a link to the current EV graph:

http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1318/ev25nl.png

Running at 13BB/100 over 3k hands is pretty nice imo! Also its fun to see that i needed to adapt for about 1000 hands to really get it going... (might be a little variance in there as well as my KK got busted 3x in a row in big pots).

Another funny thing is, AQoffsoot is the moneymaker - that hand made me 85$ profit. After that KK with 65$ and AKoffsoot 57$. AQsooted lost me monies - so another lesson: SOOTED don't mean shit!

Nice thread INUC, best of luck to you. Just a quick question: are you going to use the money you won in the Freeroll for your challenge or are you going to cash that out?

Hi m1sha,

there wasnt much interest to this thread, but im gonna write a report on my findings on 25nl soon - played about 6k hands at 13bb rate, so pretty much have enough info to spot the major edges there.

I will move up to 50nl because im 14 buyins up at 25nl, and cashout the fleeloooool dollahs or use em as tourney monies - just for fun and masters is coming up.

Hey INUC there is interest in the thread just haven't typed anything in it.

Personally I switch between NL25 (and avoid your tables over the last week or so) and NL50 and interested to see your report/findings

Keep up the good work

Meh, 6k is an ok sample to give a short review of the players habits in general. It's pretty pointless to stay at 25nl with 40 buyins, and after all i've played 100k+ hands at different levels on PP.

Also dont expect a lot of change between 25 and 50 nl, railed a couple of tables for some extend of time and see the same eagerness to coldcall 2bets 24/7, calling potsizebets on draws, 3bet only with KK+, flopshoving on draws + oesd's and stuff.

Pretty marginal imo.

But my report will get here 2night probs
