My reasoning was this: 4BB raise is relatively big for the average 50NL player, so I figured it was likely a big pair or AK/AQ. Most of us 50NL fish give up on c-betting when we miss the turn, so I thought I'd call the flop c-bet and see how strong he'd play the turn. Then he basically puts me all in and I decide he probably KK/QQ. 3-betting pre puts me oop with JJ and raising the flop is costly.
Too careful?

I don't know the villain, so it's hard to say. But his betting smacks of an overpair. Could be 10's on one day, Q's or K's on the next. Hard to say. I think it depends on your attitude on the day whether you shove this one or not...

Why are we not 3-betting pre 6-handed here?

I hate playing jacks oop as much as the next guy, but surely, if 50NL plays as tight as I've seen/been told, surely a 4-bet pre would mean you're facing an overpair to your hand or AK like 30% of the time, and a call would mean you're 85% sure you're ahead after the flop, so you can V-bet teh fook out of it.

No?

I would like a 3 bet on the flop.
but as player you almost have to call down turn and river.
But as any situation its player dependant

I like the 3 bet pre flop here instead of flat calling his bet OOP.

Find out where you stand? 3bet pre? or raise flop? Most the tards on 50/100nl can't fold weaker holdings in these spots and usually let you know when they're strong by overplaying their hands.
A raise in either spot gives you the info to fold or shove/call.
Is 2.50 his standard raise?
