I have paid PKR nearly 3k in rake. I have received nearly 250k points for this pleasure. This gets me HALF an iPod from the 'Rewards' shop. I could get one for £175.00 down Argos. I can't help feeling this is far from a good deal.
anyone agree?

i think that pkr are just giving some thing back cos you have paid 3k in rake dont mean they are going to give you a free car in the long run they dont have to give you anything take what you can and be happy

The poor people running the site has to eat too.
You also get stacked magazine, and reload bonuses. I think it's a good deal.
I suppose if you've paid 3k in rake, and lost 10k, you'll not be so happy with half an iPod, or even a whole iPod. :-)

well to be honest there is MUCH better reward point system ratio on another famous pokersite - however I think i'm getting the better deal here since the players here are much softer so i'm not woried about the points so much i just like softer games since it just = more $ for me
My goal is 2,9M points! Then i'm gonna buy the Pkr pokertable. Only 2,3M pkr-points left...
Think it's gonna take some time

pleased there's more of a sensible response to this here than the same thread i put in the lounge. but that's what i expect from cash players

i do agree with Gonza on the whole. however, i do think PKR could and should come up with a points system that rewards more regular play.
it does seem though that 'investing' points in tournaments is a far better deal than products, which is of course no coincidence

it's a shame the hands per level ratio on pkr is so prohibitively donkament bad.
its just im a little sick of examples like today where (as usual) i get two .25/.5 plo8 tables going, and pay A LOT of rake when its short handed, have to leave after a couple of hours, whilst pkr are left raking the max on 50%+ hands from a now full table.
