PKR Forum Guidelines
What are the forums for?
We’d like you to enjoy, respect and return to our forums. We also hope that this section will develop into an arena for open, friendly conversation, interaction and lively debate. All players are encouraged to participate in the PKR Community, ask questions, offer advice and share experiences. However to ensure that these forums are an enjoyable, entertaining and useful resource we kindly ask that you adhere to the guidelines below.
Tips for posting
• Posting in the relevant section - posting the same questions in different areas of the forums breeds confusion and fractures the discussion. Try to post once in a suitable area of the forums and see what happens.
• Useful posts - If you want to contribute to the discussion, think hard about how to add something of substance to the thread. In the long-term we hope to build a substantial volume of advice and material which can be useful and entertaining to all levels of players.
• Moderators and admin cannot read every post, reply to every question, or contact every player when posts need to be edited/removed. If you'd like PKR to reply to your question please go direct to the Customer Service Team, who are ideally suited to the job of helping you quickly, efficiently and on an individual level.
What are the forums not for?
Please remember that PKR forums are not designed for the airing of specific individual grievances related to our product or service. We are a highly responsive company with one of the best customer service teams in the industry. So, if you are unhappy with any element of PKR or require technical or account assistance please get in touch with them any time – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – they’ll be on hand to address your concerns quickly and effectively.
Forum Rules
1. We encourage you to make use of the PKR forum to exchange ideas and news and to comment on events on the Site as long as you do so in a responsible fashion and in accordance with our standards of conduct as set out in this clause and as posted from time to time on the Site. In addition, the Terms apply to your use of the PKR forum as they do to your use of the Site generally. You must be over 18 to contribute to the PKR forum.
2. In the event of any threat of legal action or in response to a court order we reserve the right to identify you. We may monitor and remove content from the PKR forum but we do not undertake to do so and we accept no liability for the content posted by you or any other users. You are solely responsible for the content that you post and your interaction with other users. We will not verify any content and exclude any liability for its accuracy or reliability.
3. We may, but are not obliged to, remove any content at anytime from the PKR forum without notice to you or any other user. Failure to comply with these forum guidelines may result in temporary or permanent removal of forum (and chat) privileges, at the discretion of the Forum Admin Team. PKR also reserves the right to remove the forum privileges of any player who, after warnings, continues to behave in an inappropriate manner inconsistent with the aims and advancement of the PKR Community. In using the PKR forum you undertake not to include any material which contains:
o Profanities or obscenities or is suggestive of the profane or obscene.
o Personal attacks on any individual.
o Text of private correspondence (including emails or Livechats) between you and PKR's Customer Support staff or any other PKR staff member.
o Defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, racist, violent, abusive, insulting, threatening or harassing comments.
o Comments that can be construed to question PKR's integrity, game fairness, security or random number generation.
o Communication passed on from any player who has lost their forum or chat privileges. Players may not post on behalf of account-banned users, forum- or chat-banned users.
o Advertising or marketing of any kind, including that relating to not for profit organisations.
o Third party copyright material.
o Images – these must comply with all relevant guidelines in this document in regard to inappropriate content. Posting of images with pornographic elements or any other prohibited matter may result in a temporary or permanent forum (and possibly chat) ban. Also any image deemed to be inappropriate by the PKR Community Team or forum admin may be removed without notice. Players should report inappropriate images using the standard methods listed below. Players may also request removal of images by emailing the link and reason to abuse@pkr.com, which will be considered by the forum admin team.
4. You will not use the Site nor the PKR forum to collect or exchange names or contact details relating to individuals, players or users of the Site (whether for commercial or other purposes). PKR affiliates are not permitted to advertise their websites or other promotional activities in the forum. You may use your player name in the PKR forum but it should not be the name of a famous person or any other party who uses the Site.
5. PKR does not claim ownership rights in any content posted by you or other users in the PKR forum but you grant you PKR a revocable, non-exclusive worldwide licence to use, modify, reproduce and distribute the content on the Site. We shall also be entitled to retain archive copies of any content. You confirm that the content you post on pkr forum does not infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of any person.
6. PKR's forum moderators reserve the right to make alterations to the postcount of any player, as a result of artificially-created posts or in relation to any other behaviour considered to be outside standard forum usage. PKR also reserve the right to restrict forum usage of any player found to be making or trying to make unauthorised manipulation of forum accounts/features.
