No more posting pics that are too big to fit on the forum!

This is just meant as a simple guide to posting pics in threads, any experts out there please feel free to post any other useful info.

1. Find the pic you want and save it on your hard drive preferably as a jpg or gif file (going to assume you already know how to get a pic from where you want it onto your computer).

2. Go to http://tinypic.com (alternatively you can use something like ImageShack http://www.imageshack.us/ or PhotoBucket http://photobucket.com/, you may need to sign up for an account to use these sites, but it should be free).

3. Upload the pic.

This is done by clicking the file field, then browse, this opens another window and now it’s up to you to find the required pic you want to use. Select the file type (mostly going to be image) and then select the required Resize from the drop down box (Message Board 640x480 normally works best). Hit upload.

4. Copy the ‘IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards’, and paste the code into your forum post, you must then change the at the end of the code to lower case [img] and [/img].

5. You’re done. Click Submit!

Your pics may need to be cropped to get rid of excessive borders or white spaces, or they may even just be too big and you only wish to use part of a picture. I’d advise doing this before uploading them, as there may be issues with the image quality. You can crop them after they have been uploaded by clicking on the Edit button on the right hand side. This also gives you some other basic options to play about with and tweak your pic.
