Wow, what a day. Got there so early no one from PKR was even around yet (ty very much for the 9:30 start time message Jabba!). Got to meet a number of forumites and PKR players for the very first time. In every case it was a pleasure. I doubt any other site can boast such a great community. It was great to put some faces to names before PKR Live III. So many moments throughout the day but here are a few of my most memorable for various reasons:

PKR players rule:
Beyne and James666 just owned the day. Two great players and two great characters. They brough the entertainment value to the matches and their semi-final will be epic. Good luck to you both. Both were playing with a controlled aggression that nobody else seemed to be able to match.

Devilfish:
Seriously, at what point did Devilfish and Liam Gallagher become the same person? Actually that would be doing Liam Gallagher a disservice. Devilfish is like an embaressing uncle who just makes you cringe. A bizarre bad joke telling egotist with racist undertones that just is clueless as to when he has outstayed his welcome. Shocking.

Big-Mac-Gate:
Of all the people present the last I thought to ever throw a diva fit would have been Juha Helpi. Maybe he was just tired having come straight from the Poker Million heat but Juha held up proceedings for almost 2 hours with his demands for a Big Mac. Nothing else would apparently do. The food took so long to arive and then wasn't a Big Mac that Juha threatened to walk out. Vicky Coren you have the patience of a saint. He seemed to snap out of it later on, but seriously...

Beyne:
Believe the rumours, believe the hype, what a legend. "Jabba, more beer!!". Showing down bluff after bluff and inducing "super monkey tilt" on a regular basis. Dude, respect.

Sooo much more to put down but I need to get some sleep. Thank you very much PKR for a highly entertaining day and great hospitality.

You know, it must have been a bad day for Juha, I could not believe what I saw from him.. he completely acted like a child, was discusting in my opinion! he even barked orderes for them to go back to a different McDonalds to fetch him a big mac than the one that they got the meal from previously as he did not want the same service (from the Maccy D's Staff's work on the burger'... I guess he was confusing McDonalds for a 'Gourmet Burger' joint...

He has done no favours for himself with his little tantrum, pissing off Eddie Hearn in the proccess (By the way... Legend! just the epitome of cool! Organises everything for Matchroom sports if noone knew), and believe me he earned no supporters that day, with every other member of the audience cheering Coren on during there match.

Good Luck Ian Frazier in your match vs Juha, you will be doin geveryone a favour by knocking him out, I definately do not want to be the one playing Juha in the Final if that is who he really is!

Anyway, thanks for all the support you guys have been bringing us at the rail, I hope you have all enjoyed watching (maybe not the earlier boring matches in the mornings) but when a few beers have flowed at least! It has been great to meet all of you who came down, and hope to see some of you plus more, today at the Finals!

Wish the mighty Beyene and the Big6 luck 'por favor!!!' May the best alcoholic win!

Vladmir Geshkeinbein Eliminates James Sudworth...
With the blinds 800/1,600 Sudworth raised to about 4,000 and Vladmir Geshkenbein moved all-in. Sudworth quickly called.

Sudworth: ah6d
Geshkenbein: Qd5c

The flop came Kc5d4c and Geshkenbein moved in front.

"Give him a six or an ace so we can keep playing!" said the Russian.

The turn was the 4c and the river was the Qs .

The two players hugged and Geshkenbein said, "I'm sorry."

"No you're not!" laughed Sudworth.

"You're right I'm just saying it for TV..." agreed Geshkenbein.

So the final will be between Juha Helppi and Vladmir Geshkenbein but first there will be a 3rd/4th place playoff between James Sudworth and Alec Torelli.

Unlucky James and big congrats to Vladimir. Good luck for the finalhappy
