DO NOT take this at face level, there sytem is screwed up, i earned my way to the bronze level ages ago, was on my way to silver by 52%, all was well with the world i sat down at the daily 17k last night came 25 so won some money, not unhappy about that, however went to check my baance after and bang my perventage to silver is suddenly only 2%, the story goes on, in the meantime i go to bed log back in this morning and bang my percentage is at 4% now work out how i managed to gain 2% wihtiut even playing and how i lost 50% for playing??

Well, I don't believe the update the progress to next level in real time. I think the progress % to bonus is updated everytime you reload PKR software, but I think progress to next level is only updated every 24hrs or so.. Seems that way to me.
So that could explain jump from 2% to 4%, that probably accounts for your daily 17K entry...
However, in regards to drop from 52% to 2% unless there was an error in your favour like OP that was corrected, or maybe you were mistaken ?? But otherwise if you honestly believe there has been a mistake/error (i've seen other posts regarding progress being reset, so it must happen) than just contact support.. They would have accurate records of all points earned (rake generated) and would be able to set the right value for you I am sure
