What about beating sat out players in cash games?

This thread is full of crap. It comes down to your understanding of the game & how you apply your knowledge at the tables. If you keep thinking about in in a simplified way of styles and primitive adjustments don't be surprised if you never will be a consistent winner again (as the skill level keeps increasing). Countdown to busto.

The direction where PKR is going deeply upsets me... Not only have the benefits of playing here greatly decreased in value, they are going to be close to nonexistent in the future (if nothing will be changed).
When I first came to this site I had no idea to play poker, amazingly soft games offered a very smooth learning curve that lasted for a few years until PKR 2.0. Slowly more and more regs started to appear, people started playing more tables, reg-to-rec ratio went down and games got tougher. It was still OK, most of the grinders here still have big fundamental leaks in their game.
After legislations in France and Italy profitability of the games went down even more. Players from "tougher sites" started migrating to PKR (especially after black friday). This hurt the bottom line of PKR regs really bad. Lower skilled regs either quit playing/went broke or were forced to improve and game-select harder (do you ever wonder where the high volume players from the past dissapeared to?).
Today the skill level at 1/2 and above is comparable to the rest of the sites (or even higher when you consider the fact that players there are sitting at less tables, thus paying more attention and adjusting quicker). Because of the small player pool these games don't even run most of the time anymore. It's only a matter of time when the remaining pool of less than average skilled grinders will be replaced by better ones and the same happens at any stake where it's possible to make a living (who's idea was to send PKR reps to 2+2?).
Why would serious player continue playing here 12 months in the future when everything that got us here has been taken away leaving us with only fancy graphics (cons: low hands per hour, small traffic, resource heavy software, requires a 30" monitor to 9table comfortably [not convinient to players who like to travel etc], below average rewards program for high volume players)?
I used to play more than 90% of my volume here, this year it's less than 50% (main reason being the crashing issue that took several months to fix). PKR isn't the softest site anymore (if anyone wants to argue that I would suggest you check out the italian and asian networks). I'm sad to see everything I loved about PKR changing, I also understand that it's a business and everybody wants their piece, but I seriously hope that PKRs management will come to their senses, because I don't believe they understand why we play on PKR.

Recreational player pool is shrinking by day and now you want to remove those who are left from "normal" tables?
"Also, and more importantly, it doesnt stay shallow for very long, as people double and triple up. You are then faced within a few deeper stacks and a few short stacks, which offers some interesting dynamics. "
People double/triple up & run, if they don't then the dynamics won't be interesting, they will be horrible! Any 5bb stack will have a mathematical edge over the deeper stacks. I'm also pretty sure that the games will be unbeatable before mid/high stakes because the thin edge you may have is not enough to overcome what is raked away.
It starts to look like PKR is not interested in growing as a poker site and the main goal of keeping this operation running is to suck out as much money as possible from gambling degens until the site slowly dies.

Play less tables.
I started a study group recently with some really good players (4 people including me), 3 of us have increased our winrates dramatically after dropping down the number of tables we play (ranging from small to high stakes). We all agree on poker theory, but we all perform at different levels on the tables. Not exploiting edges that you can gain by paying attention to what's going on and analyzing it is something you can't afford to do in todays games. Sure, when you are on top of your game you can grind it out on more tables easily, but it's hard to perform on a high level consistently because your "autopilot" will become very bad in a matter of days! Even with all the pre-game warm up routines it's very hard to maintain an edge (at least for me).

The dynamics of full ring games on PKR are vastly different from full ring games on other sites because over here you get so many multiway pots and people play super passive with their entire range. Your preflop adjustment should be to play hands that flop fat equity vs the field from early position. AQ only flops top pair that still has significant value vs the donks, but be weary vs nits who never continue vs you without near nuts when 2+ bets go in postflop.

Thanks for the feedback everybody, I appreciate the support... Super tired right now, so I'm not going to reply to each post personally, but I've drawn my conclusions (thanks once again, we really have some nice people in this community). Been busy for the last two days spending time with family. I just got back from a long day trip to see my grandmother in another city who I haven't visited for 2 years! WTF. Got more social stuff planned for the weekend. Everything is going better already (including poker... started playing less tables, lol) I really like this analogy, point well made! @matrixxs & 3DJohnny I left out studying poker. What I mean is that I've worked hard on my game, up to the point where my brain stops working properly and I just go to bed feeling miserable & hopeless. It's not easy to watch 10+ hours of training videos, take notes, study, construct your whole gameplan. Play 10k hands the next day and just fail to perform up to the expectations. It's devastating to your mindset. You will just feel so low (these are the days I'm watching shows etc instead of studying)... When you start thinking your poker career is reaching an end it becomes increasingly difficult to continue working, but you must find the strenght somehow and when you overcommit it can really burn you out, just like any other stressful job. I've withdrawn my whole balance on a few sites several times in the last 3 months out of desperation. When you dig holes for 8 hours a day you'll know that you will at least get paid. PS! I play poker because I don't want to dig holes, not because I enjoy it (I only enjoy winning AKA EZ money aka "feels like christmas" ). It's just the best option available for me. I actually get satisfaction from the challenge aswell, it feels rewarding after you reach some success... Only this time the challenge went way too far.

Same thing happens to me every session. As a precautionary measure I have started restarting my client more often to prevent crashes, but this workaround has it's downswides, it can't keep going on like this! Please fix ASAP, see http://www.pkr.com/en/community/forums/technical-help/pkr-bug-since-update-55438/?page=2 for details. Thanks.
