Gecko asked me to delete it but she'd already blanked out the title, making it non-clickable, so I didn't do anything. I was still able to access it a that point but it now seems it's properly gone. /shrug

Shame really, I rather enjoyed Rizloid's final post. Well said dude! (Kicking myself that I didn't take a copy.)

Hmm strange one.

I agreed with Rizloid too but it's a shame she felt like that.

Mmm, gotta say I don't like it when stuff like this happens.

I've no idea what was in the thread, but it seems unfair to me that people have gone to the trouble of replying to a thread on a public forum, which may be of interest to others, but the thread starter can decide it should no longer be available for anyone to view / comment further on.

If it's in vioation of the rules, then a mod can delete it or even lock it if it's run it's course, but I really don't like the fact the OP can delete the title and render everyone else's thoughts/posts useless. That's a mod's job after all and simply regretting starting a thread or being unhappy at how it's evolving isn't enough in my book to justify censoring it.

M.

P.S This is more of a general rant than anything particular about a specific thread - I've already mentioned this point in the technical section toungeout
