Your image at the table has a lot to do with will you get paid in this spot or not I think, if you’re making a lot of continuation bets and so on, image is everything! I personally like lead out with a big hand, in the last 3 weeks I’ve flopped a boat 3 three times, lead out only to see my opponents fold which is kind of annoying, but over the years this line has paid off handsomely for me. First I think what you need to realise is who is in the pot with you are they a calling station, if so go ahead and lead right out with a strong bet on all streets. Are you up against an aggressive player who will bet out if checked to him, if so go ahead and check, flat call them then so as giving them another chance to bluff the turn, check raising the flop is giving your hand away I think, especially if your image is one of a tight player. Leading out weak (hoping for a raise) is an idea on the turn, but I do like to check again in this spot setting yourself up for a check raise.
To be honest there is no set rule for this situation I think the aggressive player will get paid off a lot in this spot, where as the tight player has to hope he’s up against another King or a big pocket pair then again once in awhile you will get a donkey shoving the flop with air, which is sweet.
