How come if your short stacked and you get a prime hand eg KK you go all in late position and you get called from the bb who only just has you covered calls wi A2 and of course hits his A. Is it just me this happens to because it happens a lot. just saying short stack always seem to get outdrawn.

I had ace rag in big blind ......when the chip leader does his usual min raise..... that you just HAVE to call when at final table. I get the NUT FLUSH draw on flop and NO PAIR on the board to concern myself with. Raiser bets double the blind. SO EASY to call. Doesn't effect my stack much. I get the Nut Flush.YIPEE....... He bets all in, after turn. I call his all in and as you have already guessed he pairs the board on the river. He does NOT have any flush draw and bets all in without a full house, with only the remote possibility of pairing the board KNOWING I MUST HAVE THE FLUSH.
He's a smart player and that was out of character from watching him play for an hour. How did he know he would pair the board and why did he not try to bet me out before I got the flush??????

furthermore....... (still on slight tilt) I played for hours........... finished 4th out of 615,,,,,,,, suffering a bad beat, and feeling let down, with only enough prize money to enter a 25c lottery.
Imagine how I'd feel if I had paid real money to get done like that.

Is this post serious you played for hours and won <25c

If you played for real money and came 4th your payout would be far greater.

2 pair on the flop is very hard to protect. Even if your're chip leader. Short stack always calls. Players think you're being a bully or playing position and call to spite you. If the table knows you and how you play they'll respect your big raise after the flop, but if new players are coming in all the time or you get moved to a new crew then you can be outdrawn so easily.
