Last 8 of the GP when the following situation took place.

History of the action so far – BB has been using his stack and been very agro pre since just before the bubble (9 paid). I've shoved into him once in last 5 orbits and mucked other blind on blind situations. From what I've seen of the player previously I'd be expecting him to raise pre with any PP, any Ace gd Paint maybe even less.

Blinds are now $800/$1,600
Button is at seat 6
Seat 1: vincevegas33 - $15,201
Seat 4: Destacker - $15,520
Seat 5: LOLbluffedU - $61,783
Seat 6: ObbieNL - $31,172
Moving Button to seat 1
vincevegas33 posts ante of $175
Destacker posts ante of $175
LOLbluffedU posts ante of $175
ObbieNL posts ante of $175
Destacker posts small blind ($800)
LOLbluffedU posts big blind ($1,600)
Dealing to Destacker
ObbieNL folds
vincevegas33 folds
Destacker calls $1,600
LOLbluffedU checks
Dealing Flop
Destacker checks
LOLbluffedU checks
Dealing Turn
Destacker checks
LOLbluffedU bets $2,100
Destacker calls $2,100
Dealing River
Destacker checks
LOLbluffedU bets $3,800

A few questions:
What do you put LOLbluffedU on?
Would you call the river bet?
Would you have played the hand any different? Ship/Fold/call pre? Fold/call flop? Ship/fold/call turn?

I played the hand out and will reveal my foes hand and my thought process later but wanted some feedback on the hand.

I'll give my oppinion if that's ok.

Because he's checked pre flop, I'd be making a strong pot sized bet after the flop and if you get raised you can get away from it, if he calls then it's really a hard decision on the turn. All in all there isn't much need to go crazy with the hand once you both check. Another option was maybe to ship it pre? As you are under 10bb and it will be a good chunk of his stack.

In your situation though if you ship it over his river bet then he ain't folding if he's hit middle/bottom pair, so I wouldn't fancy doing that.

10bbs - you want to win not just cash - SHOVE PRE!!

Calling off your stack with Q10 is just awful

i reckon he,s got 2 7 off. No to calling the river and I would have folded pre flop, because he is gonna call or check with any two cards because of his stack size. He has enough chips with which to test the water with. His bets are enough to make you think.
Am not in your league when it comes to poker, but you did ask for opinions..

I think your passive line here has caused you a problem and it wouldnt surprise me if you were ahead given your reads.

The way it has played out I would be tempted to call the river as he could well have a random heart and is now trying to buy it. If he has missed the board you are gonna be ahead because any hand that beats yours pre is raising according to your read.

Personally I would shove pre and as played I would shove/fold turn...you are too short to be calling the turn here IMO

But your results are much better than mine

Well, i would have either raised or fold pre, just to have a slight clue where i am.
10Q is a hand i dislike alot, and can make your stack screaming.

Since no one raised pre, either cant represent the ace, so both checked.

9 comes, and bet bet out, assuming you put him on a 9 you would think either 10 or q on the river would take the pot home to UK.

River comes 2, wich is kinda tricky.
Now you have Q high, and really dont have a clue if your behind or not.

I certainly dont have a clue, since i know nothing about his range and betting patterns.

Personally i would fold pre and wait for a better position.

Assume he had a 2 or 6?
Typical bb card hehe

I shove or fold pre.

However as played I'd probably call the river bet.

Thanks for the replies peeps happy

For the record of the other 4 remaining players one has a monster stack on the other table and the other 3 have approx 15k/20k each. The next 2 places paid the same.

Given my inactivity I figured my limp might throw the agro table captain offguard. The plan pre was to try and entice the BB to bet so I could ship and gamble if necessary to give myself a shot at taking the MTT down.

On the flop the BB's betting out any hit imo so I'm pretty sure I'm infront.

The turn bet didnt really worry me as I figured he was more likely to be semi bluffing a worse flush draw than having hit the 9. So I assumed I was still infront and with a chance of doubling if we both made our flush on the river so I called. I did consider shoving here but I'm only getting called by a 9 and didnt want to shut down the action when I thought I was infront.

The river card was nice and safe so considering my read (I had him on 2 middling cards) it was an easy call. He flips over Jh-10s and I scoop the pot. He was actually stronger than I thought but not quite strong enough.
