Hi, i've got a really big problem. I stopped playing for around 2 years and now i am playing again for like 6 months, but my plays became really terrible... Somehow I end up with bad beats and really bad calls every hand. I can't even make it too the breaks...

the weird thing about this is, that i used to win regular prizes and even have profit every week. Now I only have big losses every day. I tried different tactics to get me out of this losing streak, but I seem to be stuck.

My question is, if anyone got some pointers for me how i can get back at my normal or even better state?

Loyal Greets,

try playing in some low buy in events and just play tight abc poker. once your confidence is up, move on up to where you were before.

Best pointer i can give is this: back to basic! play just premium hands, and play from position as much as you can.
Stay away from draws, they will drain your stack fast.
Get in cheap with small and medium pairs, play them hard when you flop a set.

And remember: the average winning hand in holdem is 2 pairs, not ak or top pair.

"" I stopped playing for around 2 years and now i am playing again for like 6 months""

Just something I noticed....

15 September, 2008 $20 Freeroll
27 September, 2007 $20 Premium Freeroll

So thats 1 year away and back 2 months then? And which site was it that you used to make a profit on?
People will be more prepared to help if you stick to being real and honest with them! wink

hey, the site i made profit on was called unibet.nl
don't know if you heard of it but i starting playing on there.

About the tips, ill try and play as tight as possible, i think you guys are right about me getting lured in on the draws, i seem to get sucked right in very quickly with only an ace and low kicker... and yes.. i do play with top pairs rather quickly these days.

I'll keep your tips in mind guys, Thank a lot! I appreciate it!

*To come back on Jaywat, i am referring to when i was playing more frequently. Those freerolls were just some tourneys. I cant even remember playing those wink. But I understand what you are saying. Don't worry i'm not trying to lie. I didnt make this post to excactly state how long it has been since i played, but i was here to get some advice on my bad playing.

Thanks for the advice all! I'll try to play as tight as possible and not being the mad man that calls everything with a top pair. I should get more patience in playing as well, that might have a good effect.

Cheapest way is to play for playmoney- pkr RNG still counts there, you still get angry when some fronk sucks you out, but at least you know you have unlimited rebuys so you can never trespass your deposit limits.

Well it was 5 weeks ago, how about this one then, do you remember 3 days ago? toungeout

17 November, 2009 $5 PLO Freeroll

Your graph shows you have never been able to make a profit here, so I wonder how you managed to make a profit somewhere else, Im not trying to be picky, its just my way of trying to show you that you need to be real with yourself.
As has been said, go back to basics, maybe read some books, find a level you are comfortable with and stick to that. Always use strict BRM before moving up!
Good luck with it!
