Let's not quibble over ICM, given it's a $5k freeroll and only real money is in top 3 and we're pre-bubble (I think).

Given ICM you have to shove this:

53.2%, 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K3o+ Q2s+ Q8o+ J4s+ J8o+ T6s+ T8o+ 95s+ 98o 85s+ 87o 74s+ 64s+ 53s+

Guess its reasonable to shove given the limper..

You had like 20bb left so hmm maybe your stack was just a bit to big to make that play..

I agree, crazy move given that he has no idea what I have yet. A 3-5 BB re-raise whould be sufficient to isolate and find out where he stands. To put your tourney life on A3 at that stage is not necessary. To do it again and luck out both times is just ridiculous sad

Whisky posted the HH before I could /boo!

Sorry whisky, you got seriously ul, but these were both standard coolers. There's 21% of my stack value in the middle (in the first example). If you fold ~80% of the time (i.e. you only call top 20% of hands which beat me) of hands then I'm freerolling my hand which is never worse than 70:30.

However, more likely VS you is that you struggle to call 10% of the time, and when you do I still win more or less a third of the time.

The limper is never calling, so in short I'm trying to pick up a 20% stack increase by exposing myself to being beaten about 7% of the time (assuming calling 10% of hands which beat me and a 30:70 rate of win). Easy shove.

In fact, I'm being generous - you'll occasionally contemplate a call here when behind (more +EV for me still), and some of your calling range is sub -30:70.

As for the second one - shoving in to a 7BB stack with Ax suited is so standard I don't think it has to be justified.

Yes you got unlucky. But as far as I can see it's 100% ship all the time.

i agree, think you're stack is too big to do this. risking 20bbs to pick up 2.5bbs (EDIT- that should be 3.5bbs ) is close to being a good idea... but the trouble is, i cant imagine you doing it with AA, so the villains will 'know' what type of hand you have. if i'm wrong then correct me ofc.
