i think it is an excellent idea,the pros use this rule at some tables and it worksw for them,they play the hand like pocket AA so it will be exciting to wondering what your apponent will be playing

I cant believe everyone is falling for this, cant you see the bigger picture? PKR is encouraging people to play with garbage holdings and increase the size of pots....why might that be? Might it possibly be becuase they rake every pot played in their ring games and bigger pots mean more money for them?

Also, try winning a pot worth 15 big blinds with 7/2, its pretty damn difficult unless you flop a monster. Its not known as the worst starting hand in poker for nothing. The highest Expected Value play when the 7/2 game is in effect is to fold it at all times and let the other players bluff their money off to you. Thats what a serious player would do anyway.

People are moaning because other people are going to get involved with 2 7 off? What is possibly bad about this? Does everyone here just automaticaly fold to a push? It now has to be taken into consideration your opponent MAY hold 72 off and invites MORE skill to the game. Bluffing and making big calls IS a skill. Better players should profit even more. Good promotion imop.

What's wrong with you guys? Why so many negative? Bluff always was a part of a poker, you can win most pot with it, including 7-2, but to get money you need try!.. you want money just fall into your accounts. Try to make them, 7-2 its funny, never know if he has AA or 7-2. Thx PKR and shame on you guys

i posted "would like to play the 7deuce game on PKR" as my status a few hours before I saw this. Guess I had a good nose. Although the way I thought it would be is that everybody agrees to do it and then the other players actually have to pay the price. The way it's now done is just free money, so all the better. You just sit back, play your usual game, make a massive raise once in a while when you see a good spot with your 72 (should be plenty of +EV situations) but most importantly, call a litlle more often with 99 through QQ. I don't care where my +EV comes from, so if they are encouraging donks to play, all the better. If I want a battle of intellect, I can play chess....

The promo "sounds" decent (let's leave aside the donk play support).. but when you read the rules it's practicaly impossible ....!! really 15Xbb with 7-2?? and win ... ??

The only way is see this kind of thing happening if the "lucky" donk who get's the 7-2s begs the whole (3 person ) table to call a 15Xbb raise.
And even if this happens the odds of the donk winning are pretty slim )
I guess this is why i don't see PKR on any poker room lists found in the poker-tips-strategy-sites out there like pokerlistings.com and so on !!
Really bad cuz i think you got the nicest soft out there !!

but you have on pkr actually,a majority of moron players who just understand nothing to poker....now every 7-2 we will see a moron all in on....did we really need this? the majority won't understand is it a cash game promotion,and gonna do the same on every game....sng mtt whatever....

the only result you will get with this promotion,is an augmentation of the moron move,like if we didnt have enough actually,and the frustration of many player who will withdraw all their money....

before put stupid promotion,be sure your players are corectly educated....

How would it not work on low stakes? Once you start establishing your table image and if its a tight aggressive one, you could scare off people with your raises. Every hand is situational so saying it will never happen is rediculous. Sure it may be "harder" to achieve this, but it can be done. All it takes is one hand people.
