He made an even bigger impression in PKR Live II - taking down the Main Event and a $20,000 first prize.
It was all part of an incredible run of poker that's seen the 23-year-old go from starving student to red-hot pro with over $200,000 in tournament winnings.
It all started with a breakthrough win in the PKR Sunday Classic in November 2008 that netted him $7,500, Fenton has experienced a rush of results since that has seen him rack up six figure online tournament winnings in just over half a year.
Away from the computer he’s been just as hot, with a final table at a GUKPT Walsall side event, and two more FTs at PKR Live II, where he went on to win the Main Event for $20,000.
The fairytale continues for Fenton who has already jetted off to Las Vegas to assume his new role as a Team PKR Pro and to attempt to bring home a World Series bracelet.
Before leaving he said, “Quite honestly the first career I have ever been able to see myself making a real success out of was poker. It is something I have a deep interest in and something I have begun to make work. Hopefully this opportunity with PKR will prove to be the springboard to a lifetime of success in the game. Why not start in Vegas?”
