In a particularly sick hand which happened today, I held Ad Td vs J9o all in on the turn [Ax Tx 8d 7d] for over $1K. Must be nice, sir...
Anyway, other than watching Kingand77 go super deep in three tournies and then get screwed in all three (/ul bro) I managed to cash in a tourney!! A pretty annoying min-cash but hey, it's a cash so I ain't complaining!
Lessons in lifestyle
But this monkey is not without a plan. I'm currently staying at home with my parents and there is a swimming pool nearby so I plan to get myself mentally sharp by swimming regularly and eating right. I was listening to one of the big time pros the other day (I forget who), making a big noise about getting the little things correct. For example, eating right, sleeping plenty, exercising regularly, getting to tournaments on time, not being stressed about other things. I hasten to add that I do very few of these things correctly, especially since Vegas where very little exercise was done throughout the six weeks.
Also, I haven't had a proper break from poker for a while and I think I may be a little burnt out. So a friend and I have decided to go away to Malia, Crete for a week of everything APART from poker, trying to refresh ourselves, come back and hit it hard. I guess I just have to survive till then!
I was watching kingkai84 last night, deep for the third time in as many weeks in another site's version of the PKR Masters - 14th, 4th & 2nd in consecutive weeks, all in 1,000-runner fields! That's just too sick. Macau watch out, he's in killer mode!
I also watched as DoctorFun (also known as Jack "it's standard I go deep" Powell) bubbling a GUKPT £500 side event final table. /shame
Unfortunatley this is turning into a blog about other peoples results instead of my own because, well I'm struggling to get any lmao! Grrrr, I'll be back!!!
