If good things come in three’s, then look out for pleurepa. The French up and comer has had two amazing evenings on PKR.com this week....

First pleurepa came in second to Team PKR Pro Kingkai84 in the Sunday $30,000 guaranteed (read all about that) for a cool $4,800 payday.

Then, less than 24 hours later he took down the daily $17,000 guaranteed for another $4,345. Not a bad day rate!

We caught up with the 25 year old pleurepa (real name Fabrice) to ask him about the secrets to his success…

PKR_Antoine: How did you start playing poker? How did you find out about PKR?

Fabrice: I started playing poker for fun a year and a half ago on another site. I loved the game straight away and made my first deposit soon after that. Then a friend advised me to check PKR out for its 3D graphics. I was hooked and I haven't left PKR since then.

A: What do you think makes you a good player?
F: Patience and, I think, I can read the game quite well. I can fold good hands easily if I feel something dodgy.

A: What is the most important thing in poker?
F: I would say respect between players, and composure/self-control.

A: What is your favourite tournament?
F: Not one in particular but I like slow, deep structured tournaments. Although I also play turbos or Deep & Steep.

A: What are the players you most respect/fear on PKR?
F: I fear no one! But you have to beware of the regulars of PKR. Zlatan35, Zanzibax and many more have results that deserve respect. I'm also impressed by Studaholic at the moment. Kingkai84 really deserved the Sunday 30K, and I thank him for his message after I won the daily.

A: If you could play heads-up against the poker star of your choice, who would it be?
F: Phil Ivey because he is amongst the very best and proves it time and again. On PKR I would like a rematch against Kingkai84

A: You're French, what would you like to tell to players who asssume French are all "fronks"?!
F: Skills and Donkitude are not nation-related! But I let it go, moaners are usually losers. Vive les Fronks!

A: What are your next targets on PKR?
F: My goal is to win more major MTTs on PKR, despite these two nice results, I am still a beginner if you compare my results with other players on PKR. I'm also trying to ‘Raise my game’ in Omaha Hi/Low, I like this variant.

A: Explain to us how you did this? Two nice results in two straight evenings…
F: On both tournaments, I played very tight at the beginning and then progressively I opened my range. I’ve been patient and aggressive at the right time, and got the luck I missed a few times on previous final tables. Confidence was hugely important, I really wanted to do well to increase my bankroll. I also simply believed I could win.

A: Did you change anything in your game, it can't just be luck?
F: Not only luck but I know I have been lucky on several hands. I already won a dozen tournaments on PKR with my strategy, but perhaps I have played a bit more aggressively

A: There is a French crew winning a lot of big tournaments at the moment, including you, Zlatan35, Tilko, Waswini and you're all wearing the same avatar clothes. Are you all brothers? Can we know the secret?
F: Yes, we are like brothers and we support each others when one of us is going deep. These players are already pro though, I am still a student, Poker is how we met and we share the same aspirations to it.

A: You're one of those players who made only one deposit ($25) and managed to get a pretty nice bankroll...This is brilliant, what's your secret, what poker books did you read?!
F: I only play limits I feel ok on. Where I feel I have an edge. My secret is my performances in MTT, I hardly play cash games, not my style. I have checked a lot of forums to get information and I haven't read a single poker book. I know the main odds in the game but I mainly play with my instincts. So perhaps my secret is my passion for this game and my poker dreams, I will keep dreaming.

A: Many thanks for this interview, keep it up!
