How long have you been playing poker and how did you start?
I started playing properly in August 2008 when I found a friendly pub poker league. I've always loved playing different types of games and had tried a bit of poker before, both online and in home games, but I didn’t really know what I was doing past hand rankings.

What made you start playing PKR?
I think I saw a flashy advert and signed up. I love any cool looking new video games, but at the time I didn't have a clue what I was doing, so I got bored. I was then invited to some home games and absolutely loved them. I always prefer to be playing a game and having a laugh with mates, rather than just being in a club unable to hold a conversation due to some terrible music.
Now gripped by the poker bug more than most, I found a pub league to join; they played at the Loose Cannon quite a bit - a great venue. When I heard PKR Live was being held there I got back online to qualify. It was such a great weekend meeting so many top people, and I've been hooked on PKR ever since.
Where do you live?
London baby! So much going on - no excuses not to do whatever you fancy. I've been here for over five years now, but I do miss the North East of England.
What’s your day job?
I work for a corporate IT reseller. I look after key accounts and manage the sales support team. It's hard graft but I work with a great group of people and it's certainly rewarding.
Who are your best mates on PKR?
Eeek, so many amazing people to mention and so many more I still need to meet - yeah that's just going to take too long…love all you guys and gals!
What do you love most about poker?
There’s just so much to it. Whether you just play for a laugh or you take it more seriously, there’s always a game that's right for you.
What’s your biggest poker achievement to date?
My new year’s resolution was to actually work on my game. Since then I’ve won my second Sunday $30K and I feel I've definitely added a greater level of consistency to my poker. Yes I've had some great luck, but I feel there is now a lot more thought to my game and it's worked out nicely so far.
What drives you nuts?
People who take bad beats so personally. Be happy for the bad calls, peeps!
Who would you be sat with at your fantasy table?
A load of fish and a massive first prize.
What do you like to do to unwind when you’re not playing poker?
Friends, beer and some rock/metal. I also play a lot of the French card game Tarot, which is fantastic fun.
