The PKR team heading for Macau to play in the APT welcomed its sixth member last night as German player F4llout booked his seat to play Asia’s premier poker tournament.
The twenty-four year old from Passau managed to outlast Team PKR Pro Karl ‘Discomonkey’ Fenton. The end came when a short stacked Discomonkey shoved with K9os only to find himself dominated by F4llout’s AKos. The board didn’t bring the Monkey any respite and F4llout had booked his once in a lifetime trip to play poker in paradise.
The $6,500 win was
F4llout’s biggest PKR win to date by some distance, beating his previous best cash of $468. It also represents a tremendous achievement given that he won two
satellite qualifiers to get to the final – a run of form that saw him turn a $4 outlay into a $6,500 shot at the big time.
A strong showing of 29 runners meant that the entire FT were freerolling, safe in the knowledge that each would get at least their stake back – a welcome payout that means they can have a free crack at the final
APT qualifier next Monday.
There’s still time to join them with one more qualifier running next Monday night. The buy-in for this event is $325 or follow F4llout’s lead any qualify through a satellite for as little as $4.
