PKR 12-5 Unsensible Soccer
Having been placed in the top league of three, there were some initial reservations by some of the players on just how the side would hold up in new surroundings before the first match against Unsensible Soccer last night. These doubts would however be quickly dispersed thanks to a goal fest by PKR.
Flying out of the blocks, PKR went at Unsensible like a steam train with the impressive PKR_Andy bagging a goal after some good work by PKR_Billy inside the first minute of the game. Better still was to come as Andy bagged another and his strike partner Billy also got on the score sheet as PKR raced into a 3-0 lead within minutes.
By this time PKR were playing Brazillian like football, gaining the plaudits of the on watching crowd, with one lucky punter commenting ‘It’s just like watching Arsenal – but better.” The PKR backline manned by the impressive PKR_Paulie and PKR_Nick looked impenetrable, while Andy and Billy continued to pull the strings going forward. Even in very rare cases of the defence being breached, the opposing strikers could find no way past the man known as the cat; customer services PKR_Harry.
Unsensible did manage to bag a goal, but just to underline the pure difference in class between the two sides, Billy scored direct from the restart to diminish any hopes of a comeback. Frenchman PKR_Antoine then marked his debut for the side with a well taken goal, before Unsensible pulled one back to make the half-time score 5-2.
If fans liked what they saw the first half, they were in for an even bigger treat in the second with Billy completing his hat-trick within moments of the kick-off. Andy the man referred to by many as ‘the Gary Lineker of his generation’ then laid down the challenge to his strike partner and promptly bagged his third of the night.
As the game continued PKR continued to dominate all over the pitch. A quickly taken free-kick allowed Paulie to scoop a well taken goal- just reward for his excellent night's work.
Now leading 8-2, the away team pushed for a comeback and did manage to score a goal, but they were totally unable to deal with the lethal finishing of Billy who continued to reign in goals from all over the pitch.
The game eventually finished 12-5, with Billy winning his personal dual with Andy, by scoring 6, compared to Andy’s 4.
