Online nemises, the old guard and a world class rematch. Today's PKR Heads Up Grand Slam draw could produce some explosive and fascinating match-ups. Here are our dream scenarios...

Full Flush

Luke 'Full Flush' Schwartz

The internet arch-rivals: Durrrr vs. Full Flush

If the random draw pairs the etherial American and the streetwise Brit, we could expect some unmissable poker TV! Darling of the internet whizz-kid generation, Tom "durrrr" Dwan has enjoyed top dog status for a while. Luke "Full Flush" Schwartz, a brash newcomer to Dwan's nosebleed games, shook things up with fast play and faster talk, infuriating Dwan's legion of fans. Over the last six months, the two young rivals have engaged in verbal chat box and forum sparring, a game of ego poker with results as chips. But in truth, there's more to it than pride. Both are smart, savvy high stakes gamblers who have conceded the other's talents. What appears at first glance to be youthful bravado may in reality be an engaging Wenger-Ferguson mind game for the younger generation.

In their war of results, Schwartz took first blood, booking a modest cash game win against Dwan online earlier this year, but the story it seems, is only just beginning.

Old school grudge match: Tony G vs. Devilfish

If the draw matches these two motormouths, sparks will fly! Tony G and the Devilfish have a history which dates back to the stone age, the abrasive Aussie enjoying every opportunity to wind up the Brit, himself no stranger to mid-game niggle. In last year's Party Poker Premier League, Devilfish failed to win a heat, finishing bottom of the league table after a miserable week. Tony G played his way to the final table, emerging the honourably-defeated runner up to JC Tran.

Tony is known for his claims to be "the only amateur" at his pro-filled tables, while the Fish can often be heard bemoaning his ill fortune suffered at the hands of 'these lucky kids who play too fast'.

WSOP Europe rematch: Obrestad vs. Tabatabai

This will be a dream re-match if the draw brings them together. Norwegian sensation Annette Obrestad came out on top against John Tabatabai in the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event, winning $2m at the ripe old age of 18. Subsequently signed as Betfair pros, the two clashed many times at a thrilling final table, ending in a grandstand match up with the final's two most dynamic players. Tabatabai, who took home around $1m, would no doubt relish the chance to be drawn against Annette so he can turn the tables.

The draw for the PKR Heads Up Grand Slam will be happening soon. Find out who you could be up against, then try one of a range of Heads Up Grand Slam satellites, from just $1.05.
