Heads Up Grand Slam: A staff perspective (Part 2)

In the second of the series (read Part 1 and Part 3), poker fans from every floor of PKR Towers give their views on who has a great chance to emerge victorious at the inaugural Heads Up Grand Slam. To lift the trophy, the champion will have to win five heads up clashes against some of the best in the business. Here's who we think will do the job...

I'm going for Ilari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies. Anyone of the 32 could win it, but I just really like his side of the draw and his route to semi-final is 'comparatively' easy. As a next best, I like WSOPE runner up Tabatabai, a tough customer who's no stranger to heads up poker.

I'm backing JC Tran - it's a hard prediction to make as it's such a tough field. I just have a feeling JC will shine through. As for my next best, it’s a tough one, but I'm going to go with James 'james666' Sudworth, as I'm loyal and he's the player I would most like to see win!

I’m gonna go with Eastgate. I think a lot of people will choose Dwan, but he’s definitely going to be a target and everyone will want his scalp. Eastgate’s an aggressive player and his style is suited to heads up play. I think he’ll make his way through the draw pretty quietly and be in the final. If it's not Eastgate, I pick John Duthie for his excellent results in the live heads up arena.
