Six coolers and two dirty outdraws cost me $3,000, in a WSOP satellite tournament (I busted four from the money!). Then I had a large sized argument/conversation with the agent for our house in Vegas. Then, just as I thought everything was getting better (and the pool finally filled) I turned the waterfall feature on and got stung by a Bark Scorpion!
Look it up online and you’ll see it’s the most venomous scorpion in the entire Arizona/Nevada region. Luckily it is not fatal, and it just means I cannot feel my thumb (where it bit me) or wrist.
I was cleaning leaves out of the waterfall and suddenly I felt a stab, like a splinter.. then it grew agonising, and then I lost all feeling in my hand. To make things worse, I then tried to catch the little bugger, and I slipped and ended up pushing it in the pool, instead of the jar i was trying to catch it in. And now I cannot find it in the pool! I think it has sunk to the bottom, is floating randomly or has learnt to swim and climb out. Definitely not going in the pool for a few days until I have 'netted' everything out of the pool!
The bad beats keep coming outside the pool as well. I decide to place a few bets on the UFC 98 match on in the MGM Grand - down £200 (and drunk) I decided to have a flutter on roulette with my remaining £300 in a certain sports account. Twelve hands and only two wins later I was bust. A glutton for punishment my A-A vs 9-9 on a 6 high flop loses all-in. The very next hand my A-A loses all-in on the turn to 6-7 on 4-7-8-T turn.... sigh....
Anyway, hopefully the day shall be better tomorrow when I wake up - the scorpion will have died and all venom released so I don't get stung by treading on it in the pool, and I will have won some form of free lottery for 10 million dollars!
Bring on the hot run pleeease...
