PatIvey, winner of the last two Masters, last weekend reached the final table for a third consecutive month, battling for the chip lead at the final table with previous Master ovnis, who also made last month's final table! The two players' efforts led many to scratch their heads in amazement (with just a hint of the green-eyed monster), though both were eventually denied the win by ShatokhinNikita, the dark horse from Russia who posted only his second victory on PKR.

ShatokhinNikita - Russia
The winner
From Balashikha on the outskirts of Moscow, ShatokhinNikita arrived at the Masters final table (having qualified through a Stage 3 satellite) with little form, having played only 104 tournaments on PKR (the third fewest at the final table). His only win came in the PKR Open just five days before the Masters, over a 690-man field for $2,725. Fifth in chips with ten left and one of two Russians at the final table, he weathered the onslaught from three previous Masters finalists, a Big Shot specialist and a Sunday $30K champion to emerge with a Masters title and $30,000.

ovnis - Norway
The runner up
The Norwegian's reputation goes before him, with an array of astonishing results topped by a Masters title worth $29,580 last November. He has entered the winner's circle fifteen times since he joined PKR, claiming the Open and Grand Prix four times in an illustrious online career. Present at last month's final table where he witnessed PatIvey's second Masters win, he finished sixth for $5,130, but could not take down a second Masters title this time round...
"My goal was a top three finish...I was happy getting as far as I did, even though I took some terrible beats towards the end. When I hear regulars at PKR saying I'm on an eternal heater, I feel it as a bit of an insult, undermining my results due to a lack of theirs. I believe in my play, and I'm going to keep racking up results, heater or no heater!"

PatIvey - Sweden
Third place
All eyes were on the defending champion, who had achieved the near impossible with back-to-back wins over 513 and 418 runner fields in consecutive Masters tournaments for a whopping $60,000. Plenty would have bet against his return to a third consecutive final table, yet against the odds, the Swede gained the chip lead late on and thrust his way into the limelight again, finishing third this time for $11,250.
"It was a very good final table, very tight. I was lucky to get to the final table but once there I was a little bit disappointed with third place. I played very well and was unlucky several times but I won't complain because I got lucky getting to the final table, and I'm very happy anyway, finishing third!"
Other stars at the final table...
Also at the final table was Germany's ShrpFeather, who added a 112th final table to an impressive record. The Berliner, twice a PKR Open champion, has also finished runner up in three Big Shots. He could only manage eighth at his first Masters final table, while xXxRamboxXx, second in this year's February Masters behind Marlon67 for $16,013, departed in ninth place. Sunday Classic runner up and Sunday $30K winner 8BALLER finished in tenth place.
In the money...
Previous Masters winners performed well, with Dec 08 Master Amsterdemon (12th), May 09 Master bastou30 (35th) and February 09 Master Marlon67 (49th) all finishing in the money. Other notables to cash included flynndig, golfpro699, mayotacker and Zeorbok.
