PKR Open $10,000 GTD
A field of 651 convened to fight for a $2,578 first prize. EspenKR and perky85 clashed heads up, with the Norwegian prevailing to take his first Open title. EspenKR, a Masters final tablist, adds to a recent a purple patch including a string of Daily $17K final tables
The Daily $17K
316 runners ponied up the $55 required to contest the MTT regulars' favourite tournament, with prizes in excess of $4,000 regularly on offer. British player awesome1 lived up to his name, defeating popular Swede (6th on the All-time Money List and 6th in the MTT rankings) Kusken777 to clinch the title. The tournament was a maiden major victory for awesome1, while Kusken added to his collection of impressive Open, Grand Prix and HSC results.
APT Macau Weekly Final
Besting 17 others for a $6,500 package to the Macau leg of the Asian Poker Tour was previous Team PKR APT Manila member Waswini. The Frenchman remains in warm form after recent Daily $17K and Big Shot heroics. Keep an eye out for Team PKR news from Macau when the tournament takes place in August. PKR Open $10,000 GTD
Backing up Switzerland's recent emergence as a poker superpower (see Beyne article), Lachen resident zealousone outlasted 590 opponents, departing with $2,340. After a tense heads up battle, the winner conquered British runner-up curlyjp. The winner must have been delighted to claim the top spot after recent near-misses in the Gold Rush, Open and Aussie Classic.
The Daily $17K
Only 24 hours after finishing runner-up in the same event, Kusken777 returned to the $17K final table, determined to go one better for a $4,250 payday. His Finnish opponent deepstackFish fought hard but could not deny the winner, who now stakes his claim for a Player of the Month nomination.

The Daily $17K
France again featured in a strong final table, with gasogas eventually emerging in first place for $4,455, having navigated a field of 324. The winner finally succeeded after several near-misses in June. The runner-up, Hungarian tssajo, who claims he "can win with any two cards in NL", continues as astonishing run of recent results which saw him claim three $3K GTD wins and a Daily $17K win in May alone.

BeverNylon earned $2,400 for his defeat of sonenzy, notching his second four-figure score this year and his first 'major' title.

A rare victory for Greek poker last night as freebil claimed his first major PKR victory. The winner took home $4,250 having defeated MarvelKnight when two players remained.
