PKR Open champion Snookie55 won the dubious award of Big Shot bubbleboy after his A3 was felted by JASBiH's A-8. The Canadian's elimination heralded the creation of the final table. Irishman mayotacker entered play with a commanding chip lead, with both maxkreeger and Thomasinder sitting on short stacks.
Frenchman maxkreeger, playing in his first PKR tournament, departed in 6th place for $1,400, while the Italian AntiTrap, a $3500 GTD Deep Stack specialist making his 119th final table, followed him soon after in 5th place.
The unjustly-maligned Big Shot veteran and multiple Team PKR member Bazultra was aiming for his 2nd Big Shot title but fell short, departing in 4th place for a $2,200 score. The Brit's record speaks for itself, with eight MTT paydays in excess of $2K on his PKR resume.
Three goliaths of the game were left to fight it out, past PKR Master and $50K champ Thomasinder eventually missing out on a thrilling heads up battle. The legendary Norwegian, 2nd in the All Time Money List, busted when his ATs failed to outrun JASBiH's AKs. He picked up $3,000 for his 336th final table on PKR.
The heads-up battle commenced with mayotacker enjoying a 250K-150K chip lead. The Irishman, 8th on the All Time Money List with 97 final tables under his belt, had previously finished 2nd, 2nd and 3rd in the Big Shot, with a 5th in the October 2008 Masters his best result. However it wasn't to be his day, losing a massive pot with a dominated top pair, then running into KK to bag a runner-up finish for the 3rd time.
The winner, an Open and Grand Prix champion, improved on his previous 3rd in the Big Shot, adding $7,400 and a famous win to his record.
