The UK provided half of the finalists in this week's running of the $10K GTD Bounty, though none could place higher than 3rd, top-ranked vincevegas33 (35th in MTT rankings) earning $1,005 to add to his $67K in lifetime PKR winnings. The Scot added another final table to his PKR resume, which includes Masters, Sunday Classic and TV Tournament final tables along with a previous 2nd place in the Bounty.
After more than five hours, Sweden's Nobai prevailed over Irishman Bezum40, claiming his first four-figure score and major PKR title.
Of the other finalists, 6th placed Susan69 returned to the bright lights of the last ten after a Sunday Open win worth $4,995 back in May.
Bounties
An unimpressive Bounty Team effort was launched by the first-hand exits of PKR_Jabba and PKR_Michael. After failing to get his Q-Q heads up pre flop, instead taking the flop four-way, PKR_Jabba got the remainder of his chips in on the J 2 3 flop against SLIM71's 3-3.
PKR_Michael suffered the same grim fate, his A-Ks failing to catch up with Notities' A-A. Both players will want to forget their respective 657th and 653rd place finishes. Faring slightly better, PKR_Ashleigh managed 361st place after her 8-8 struggled to hold three-way. MrDane's A-7 proved too strong after turning two-pair, good enough to collect her $100 bounty.
Bounty specialist and run-hot PKR Staff League leader, PKR_Harry fought hard for his 258th position, eventually departing with 6-6 to IamCeasar's A-K. PKR_Danski, long overdue a Bounty result, suffered through impatience, his A-J trapped by SLIM71's limped K-K to send a second $100 bounty SLIM71's way for the night.
PKR_Jake, tighter than usual due to late arrival and internet issues, fell to jackbill01, whose A-K impossibly held in a six way scramble for the last remaining $100 on offer. He departed in 147th, longest -lasting of the Team.
Look out next week for deep runs from the Bounty Team, whose members are eager for a swift return to the final table...
