We're shaking up the game with a great new way to enjoy tournament poker.
Starting tomorrow, PKR will unveil an innovative approach to tournament scheduling by introducing a new “Primetime” slot at 19:15 GMT every day except Sundays.
Replacing the Daily $17k, the Primetime slot will feature a different tournament every day of the week to keep our schedule fresh, interesting and challenging.
Each daily Primetime tournament will feature different buy-ins and structures including freezeouts, rebuys, deepstacks and terminators – and that’s just the first week. The guarantees will also vary, but will always offer the day’s biggest guaranteed prize pool.
“We’ve been looking at ways in which we can make our schedule more interesting, and we fell in love with the idea of having a tournament that was different every day” said Marketing Director Simon Prodger. “Not only does it keep the schedule fresh and interesting, but over time it will also allow us to introduce big guaranteed tournaments in no NLHE formats such as limit hold’em, PLO and PLO8.”
The first ever Primetime tournament will take place on Wednesday evening and will be a $30 buy-in with a guaranteed prize pool of $12,500.
