Danski: Looking back now, how do you feel about your Masters win?
Marlon: I'm still very proud of that Masters win - as I recall there are just 18 Masters at the moment.
D: What did you spend the money on and how did the win change your month/year?
M: I’m not greedy so I gave my wife a new car, paid for my twin sons' drivers licenses (they are 19 years old), gave my 14 year old daughter a laptop and kept some for myself of course :)
D: What's your next PKR goal?
M: My goal is to win the Masters again. I think the only one who has come close is Toms2up [Masters 1st, 3rd & 10th places). I also aimed to make it to a major live tournament - as you know I did that two weeks ago, qualifying for APT Macau.
D: Did winning the Masters give you the bankroll, experience and confidence to win more afterwards?
M: Yes, my bankroll is still intact. I have made some final tables in the Daily $17K, won some small tourneys and won a Grand Prix also.
D: What is the best piece of poker advice you've been given?
M: Be patient...I think I’ve been playing for just two years now, so there is more to come!
D: What advice would you give to a new player with a small bankroll and big poker aspirations?
M: Love and embrace the game. Learn by playing (training on the job), learn from your mistakes so you won’t make them next time, and last but not least…evaluate certain situations you have been in at the table after your done playing a tourney.
