Next Thursday and Friday (August 13 - 14) will see the return of Poker in the Park, London’s unique poker jamboree held in Leicester Square.
PKR will again be there in force with the PKR ‘Poker Dome’, a giant 1,500 square foot tent that will see 80 runner tournaments take place every hour.
Each tournament will be sponsored by a London pub poker league with the winner of each one getting their hands on a nice shiny trophy to put on their mantelpiece. You’ll also get the chance to meet Team PKR Pro members, mingle with PKR staff and get massages from the lovely corset-clad Xhilarate girls. (Clearly one of these options is more appealing than the other two.)
But that’s not all that will be going on at this year’s Poker in the Park. There will also be a range of other tents offering all sorts of poker related fun, including lectures from past WSOP main event champs Jamie Gold and Peter Eastgate and the chance to meet a whole host of models from leading lad’s mag Nuts in the Poker Plex lounge.
And if the weather’s rubbish no worries, the Casino at the Empire is less than fifty yards away.
So if you’re in London at the end of next week, come down to Leicester Square and meet some of the PKR team and play some cards. Opening times are 17:00-21:30 BST on the Thursday and noon-21:30 on Friday.
