The long wait since April's legendary PKR Live II weekend is over! Details of PKR's third offline poker festival, PKR Live III, have now been released. Word on the grapevine is, flights are already being booked. Super Swedes Brutusnr1 and TheMightySwe certainly waste no time...
PKR Live III sees a welcome return to London's Loose Cannon on the bank of the Thames, the celebrated venue which played such a big part in the success of PKR Live I & II. Expect big laughs and bigger prize pools this time round, with buy-ins increased for the Main Event and Bounty Event.
But even if you fail to cash in one of the two tournos, poker opportunities won't be far away. Be it 10-seat Razz Sit & Go's or a heads up match against a Team PKR Pro, we'll have all the action to keep you entertained from the moment you arrive til the curtain falls on Sunday evening!
PKR Live - the history
In 2008, Bluff Magazine editor Phil "escalope" Conneller topped the 150-runner field to claim the inaugural PKR Live Main Event title and $20,000. At a thrilling final table, he defeated Team PKR Pros Pokey85 and callmebabe to lift the trophy. Chivalrousgent emerged with the Warmup title and $2,070. In April 2009, Team PKR Pro Karl "discomonkey" Fenton was crowned PKR Live II champion, he too walking away with $20,000 after defeating close friend Tigerwing. Team PKR Pro callmebabe returned to take down the Sunday Bounty event and $2,000. Check out the amazing picture gallery and multitude of stories from those who attended!
Ask anyone who went to either weekend and you'll hear the same reply: "PKR Live is simply the most fun you can have on or off the poker table." Meet up with old mates or forge new friendships. Either way, PKR Live III is not to be missed...
