Sunday roundup - 21 June 2009
Aussie Classic $5K GTD
Picking up Sunday’s first silverware, Frenchman Lamurgence topped a field of 139 to claim the Aussie Classic last week for a $1,500 payday. Australia filled the next two places, with Sharpy149, a previous Aussie Classic winner, and TheRaider coming in second and third. Australians and Kiwis made up five of the ten finalists.
Omaha Showdown $4K GTD
PokGERstar77 emerged with his first Omaha Showdown victory, outlasting 78 others to win the $50 PLO event and $1,120. The German made it third time lucky after two previous OS final table visits, defeating Frenchman Waswini, 2008 Super Series Pot Limit Omaha Champion, in heads-up play.
Sunday Open $20K GTD
BarmyArmy2009 wove his way through a field of 854 runners to a Sunday Open title, departing with $4,400 in prize money. It was a first major win for the Brit, who edged out Norway’s HesterPrynne at the death.
The Sunday 30K
