As our all new strategy section Raise your game rolls into its second week it’s really starting to build some momentum.
We’ll be adding two new articles every day (three on Saturdays) from now on, so it won’t be long until it’s grown into the web’s most complete library of poker knowledge.
Our favourites this week include Rick Dacey’s brilliant series that looks at big WSOP hands and the strategy behind them. The sweet-as-honey ‘Harrington squeeze’ and maniacal Phillips v Demidov standoff at the Main Event final table stand out in particular as epic poker moments well worth revisiting. Both include video of the hands in action so you don’t just get to read about what was going on in these players minds - you can see the intensity etched on their faces too.
Phil Shaw’s series on beating the Sit & Go bubble has also attracted mega-views (for good reason - the man is an is a Sit & Go legend) while ring game enthusiasts get the most lucid, straightforward explanation of the art of hand balancing you’ll see anywhere in Alex Martin’s excellent series on the subject.
Enjoy the selection and, as always, be sure to let us know what you think.
