Each week we give away $43 worth of tourney tickets for popular PKR events to one lucky small staker - to give them the chance to 'step up' and test themselves at a higher level. The only thing we ask in return is that they report back to us on just how well (or not) the experience worked out for them.
So far the results have been very impressive with three cashes and one overall second place.
After the success of last week's voting system, we have decided that this will be the format every week and it will be down to you to decide who gets to step up over the next week.
To cast your vote just enter the name of the person you think is most worthy from the contenders below in the comments section below and the hopeful with the most votes by the Wednesday 16:00 GMT deadline will be that week’s winner. Only one vote per person will count.
This week’s choices are...

"I only discovered poker in July this year - when I got layed off from my job and switched to studying. I had a good friend who always went on about poker so when I stopped working I decided to give it a crack. I started out on pureplay.com because I was able to play regularly for free and it is there where I saw the PKR advertisement.
I downloaded PKR straight away and from there I was hooked. I honestly don't think I have gone a day without playing at least a freeroll on PKR since I discovered it and now I live and breathe poker. However I may not qualify for this because I recently picked up my balls and risked about 45% of my roll on a PKR Open entry fee one lazy Sunday morning which paid off in a mildly spectacular way.
I have tried cash games and turbo's where I have donked a bit of money (on cash games anyway) but have realised these are not for me and have resigned myself to the fact that I am a deep stack, normal blind level tournament specialist in both NLHE and PLO8 - which I have also managed to pick up fairly quickly.
I was amazed to see my sharkscope record now puts me on a net profit considering six months ago I didn't even know a single aspect of poker. I would love the chance to enter more big money tournaments but restrict myself to when I am feeling at my mental optimum."

"I have a sister that I referred to PKR and she has only played in one private game. She plays around on facebook poker, I told her that’s a donk fest game.
She watches me and asks questions all the time - why this, why that - and I explain and she soaks it all up. I think she has the goods but not the bankroll. She said that after New Years she would deposit but after paying for this and that she can’t afford it at the moment.
Next thing I know she telling me how many outs I have - bet this, bet that, re-raise, they are bluffing - LOL. And I am not kidding it has improved my game no end!
I think she would not let herself down in some of the games and I reckon that she could make the pay outs and maybe even a final table.
She doesn’t know that I am asking PKR to give her a shot and it would be a good surprise if she got the chance. Her nickname is KiwiMuppet. She is a true newbie to PKR and not played a lot of games like some of the others that have been given the chance of stepping up."

"Hi PKR Team! I read with interest your latest report on somebody who was lucky enough to be chosen for your "stepping up" initiative. What a great idea.
I have been playing poker on line for one year now and at first suffered some small losses. I have kept meticulous records, managed my (small!) bank roll carefully, read a good number of books and am now, thanks to PKR, back in the black and learning all the time.
After suffering a series of inexplicable, ridiculous bad beats over two weeks on another (inferior!) site I saw your TV ads and decided to join up and deposit $100 in early Jan. I have done relatively well so far in small stakes games and have doubled my bank roll! I love the site, love the game and if I was lucky enough to be selected it would certainly not be a waste of money - you'd have a good chance of reporting some success.
Please check out my game history, including a first place in a $1 dollar MTT and three other money finishes last month in MTTs- all with over 300 runners. I've also climbed quickly up the rankings for MTTs and Sit & Go's and one of my (many) goals is to be in the top 1000 for both in six months time. Cheers for now."
