I could go to California with a few of the guys from the PKR House (too late, they left 20 minutes ago). I couldn’t do this anyway, as two more house guests arrive today, so I’d better be here to greet them. Another choice, is to play most of the Venetian Deep Stack events this week. Final choice - chill at home, play online poker and get drunk during the desert nights.
I’ve chosen the latter option as it’s quite nice having a break from live poker and just having some fun. That said, I need to limit my alcohol intake. After a $5K losing MTT session online, a messy Sunday evening ensued, finishing one and a half bottles of Jaegermeister and culminating in a blackjack game at the palms casino at 9am on Monday. Ouch... very ouch.
Monday was a terrible day, waking at 5pm only to have to arrange some cash for a friend at the Venetian, then organise BBQ food for Ashley Hames’ Comedy Show rehearsal. He was putting on the show for the lads at the house, in preparation for his Edinburgh festival debut. I was ill many times…!
Anyway, back to my choice. This means I shall have time to meet lots of people I’ve not seen for a while in Vegas, and have the opportunity to do a little advertising and promotion for PKR.
The next tournament I plan to play will be the $1,500 NLHE event on Saturday, then if I bust on Day 1, I can play the $3,000 Triple Chance on the Sunday. Then if I bust out of that, there’s another $1,500 NLHE event on the Monday, followed by a $5,000 six-handed event on Tuesday which I definitely want to play!
Anyway, that’s my schedule if you want to follow me and wish me all the best to beat my 7th place finish in event 19.
