Play by play
After 27 minutes of play during which james666 had snatched the chip lead, it was UK challenger
ThrowOnD who accepted the dubious honour of the first elimination when his A-K ran up against welllbet’s K-K, giving the Swedish Pro the chip lead previously enjoyed by james666.
Moments later, Beyne claimed the next victim, his A-A crushing
miragedrum's Q-Q and the all-in
zozo32's J-J! “Easy game”, said the Pro. With seven remaining and the three Pros at the head of the chip counts, the challengers were in trouble. Miragedrum hit the rail on the following hand when his A-8 failed to outdraw
mistazee's A-Q.
Next to jump ship was
tkeeney, whose ducks were shot down by wellbet’s queens moments later, extending the Pro’s lead at the top to double her nearest rival’s stack.
Sofia contined her relentless extermination, dispatching
Walshieblue's A-K with T-T, leaving five opponents trailing in her wake. James666 then lost an 8K pot to Scarface66, the challenger flopping a straight with Q-T to outdraw James’ A-7, though James doubled through welllbet on the very next hand to stay in the hunt.
With no let-up in the high-octane action, welllbet put her first beat on the field, spiking a three to bust mistazee’s nines with her pocket threes, to sqeals of delight and wails of disgust from the rail. The welllbet juggernaught rolled on as miragedrum’s Q-9 was squashed by the First Lady’s K-T. The bubble had arrived and with Sofia on 21,650 to Scarface66’s 8,225 with James and (a disconnected) Beyne on 5,000, the writing was on the wall.
James became the bubble boy shortly afterwards courtesy of a cold deck, his nines falling to welllbet’s tens, and Scarface66 exited through the same door seconds later at the hands of the same deadly executioner. All that remained was to raise off Beyne’s short stack, the Russian having been disconnected for some time thanks to a Maltese power cut, and the title was won.
Congratulations to
welllbet, whose win - thanks to great cards, great luck and great play - was never in doubt!
