On a serious note tho, i do think alot of people are over-reacting on the sexist vibe - have all u ladies forgotten about the regular ladies-only tourneys they run??! They always seem good prizes with easy, low fields, yet u never hear many men moaning. And Jabba's right - running a sexy-themed promotion is nowhere near sexism & in actual fact overly-PC hysteria to minor & frivolous issues is what enforces divisions instead of embracing unity & acceptance. It also allows the real serious issues of sexism & abuse to go unchallenged. I think plenty of women in Darfur would happily settle for online poker tourneys being their only form of degradation & repression.
It's just a harmless bit of fun & no-one is actually being forced into playing it!

Also, i do love DeathFetish's use of "depressingly heteronormative"! Topic aside, a most brilliant turn of word!

I'm considering registering for this for sheer "weird stuff I won playing poker" value. The restriction to male players makes the promotion depressingly heteronormative, though. Obviously I understand that Nuts wants a winner that the majority of their (male) readers can identify with, but you could conceivably use the same reasoning to shut out (say) French players so you don't risk putting off the (also overwhelmingly British) readers. Sorry Jabba, there's no way out from that subject...

lol to the suggestion that using sex to sell (as is the nature of a lot of marketing) is in any way comparible to people being anti-french and genuinely disliking/persecuting french people on the forums and tables. Not even close to the same issue folks.
