Hailing from Caistor in the UK, Fenton’s story is a true poker fairytale that’s seen him rise from small stakes grinder to high stakes tournament player in just a matter of months. Previously working towards a degree in finance, Fenton has recently decided to take a break from his studies to pursue a full-time poker career.
His ascent to poker’s upper echelons has been astonishing. Following a breakthrough win in the PKR Sunday Classic in November 2008 that netted him $7,500, Fenton has experienced a rush of results that has seen him rack up more than $200,000 in online tournament winnings in just seven months. Away from the computer he’s been just as hot, with a final table at a GUKPT Walsall side event, and two more FTs at PKR Live II, where he went on to win the Main Event for $20,000.
