Yeah the AJ hand pretty much played itself, I wouldnt be getting away from that either in that spot. I agree the AQ in bb was a bit more marginal, but as you said, you are beating or flipping with a lot of mine and the big stacks range so its certainly not a bad call, and if you win that hand you are in a great spot to win the tournament. Nice playing with you, hopefully see you on another FT soon. GL

Yes, always the case when the community fave's are not chosen. I am pleased that some cash gamers have jumped on the thread, and I truly hope that loco gives it a good tonk. What I never appreciate is the condescending manner of the PKR staff (you excluded, of course- hehe). As an A-typical anti-authoritarian, it is my nature (and hobby) to punch holes in their auras!!! Cheers JD, means a lot coming from yourself. Of course they edited a lot out so you mainly see the shoves. I was UL to run into big hands like you say, also I had a distinct lack of good starting hands, so I had to push the mediocre hands which makes me look a little luckier when I suck out.
Shrp was UL, although I was annoyed that they edited out one big hand he played poorly when he got it in with A9 v JJ and he sucked out to stay in when we were down to 6, feel maybe a bit of selective editing there. But he is a really good player and was my toughest opponent.
I read the 52o hand perfectly, having played Tusga for over 3 hours I knew I he was weak and I could get the pot. Problem now is no one repsects my raises and I am uber card dead!
Keep up the good work yourself, although I dont see you round as much at the minute....hope is all is well!

Thanks mate, KK lost to AK about 90 mins and had to really battle from there wit only 8BB...won some flips for a change and HU was over an hour, started as a 2-1 dog kept getting level only to lose big pot, 10s to js, trips to straight etc, eventually got there...I am sure you will take one down soon enough you got the game.

i must admit i did run considerably better in the latter half of mtts after drfun and gp said that to me. it is such a waste of chips and big mistake to open and fold to the reshove playing short because so many people will reshove light on LP raises if they think they have fold equity. when you take that fold equity away you get far more folds and when they look you up you still win a good % of the time and you get to gamble instead of just folding 20% of your stack away.
i really like the idea btw - never saw your thread until now. i'll mention it, but tbh everyonme is so busy with 1,000,000 different things that i wouldn't bank on it coming any time soon. :( definitely worth thinking about though.

yo dude... it was doctorfun and goldpro who explained the 20 bet rule to me in Vegas... they told me there was an epic dicussion on 2+2 about it and it took a lot of geeks with a lot of maths to prove. Bare legge til at jeg var heldig ved et par hender.
Den ene så du jo, da han gikk all in med 33 mot min AA.
Den andre gangen hadde jeg nok en gang KK, 2 limpere før meg og gjorde et ganske heftig rr.
Fikk en caller.
Flop kom 28K rainbow, noe som var perfekt.
Han hadde posisjon, men jeg ledet alikevel ut med et bet for å skjule min styrke. Han syner.
Turn er blank og jeg velger å se veldig svak ut, og går all in. Han caller og viser frem 1010.
Uflaks for han, ikke ofte man taper når man flopper set og kortene er såpass tørre som de var.
Eneste tabben jeg gjorde var å gå mot chip leader. kostet meg 100k :P
etter da var det bare ræva kort å se.

Nei, hadde KK.
Etter min første rr, ville jeg ha smooth called med aa for kanskje få litt mer ut av det, men med KK så har A en tendens til å floppe, så ville gjøre opp der og da. Hadde du RR enda en gang, ville jeg vurdere å kaste meg.
Var oppe mot AA en del senere, da hadde jeg AK, gjorde det samme da, med et par rr, etter hans siste RR kastet jeg meg og ha viste AA.
alt dette var pre flop action.
Syntes jeg spilte bra selv i går og var fornøyd, men man trenger en god posisjon, eller ha gode kort mot slutten, da blinds ar så høye.
Mine kort tørket ut mot slutten, så det ble exit litt for tidlig.

About your post:
"If you can do it well, keep doing it, don't worry about the advice you get here.
You have to be deep to make it worth it, though. Don't be doing this when you're 20-30 BBs deep, you're just not getting the odds. If you have something like 3.5k with 30/60 blinds, though, calling a raise to 300 in position with a hand like 97 suited can be worth it if you can play it well post flop.
Watch out for the other stacks at the table, though. You have to fold to a squeeze play and if good players pick up on you calling raises light, they might repop behind - especially if they're getting short. Then you're just donating to the pot."
This kind of play is getting more popular every day. What is your conter-strategy to it.

Be fantastic if you can make it too mate! The Sunday one offers a really good chance of qualifying and it's got a nice mix of skill levels, as well as a fairly reasonable structure, so I'm sure you'd have a good shot at it.
