I think there are quite a few different lessons to be learned here, or at least introductory statements which can then be worked on. And it should be stated that when trying out new approaches (and many players I've met over the years have at one point or another wanted 'to be a different type of player' and were tired with their own natural style, and perhaps envious of another player's) you are allowed to step down, rather than do your money at your usual level!

Also, this article is not just about trying something new, something that may end up being more enjoyable, but also in combatting players you will encounter more and more as poker evolves. Five years ago, the proportion of successful LAGs online was miniscule. Now they are everywhere and knowing how to best combat them is critical, especially if you choose to view them as a way of increasing your stack, rather than as someone to avoid.
