PKR is an advanced 3D application. If you find the game running slowly, try these steps to improve performance:
* Check your computer meets the PKR System Requirements
* Shut down any unnecessary background programs.
* Make sure you have the most up-to-date video and sound card drivers.
* Optimize the settings of your virus scanner (unblocking the PKR.exe, for instance).
* Shut down any additional downloads you may be running at the same time as PKR.
* Use the Low Detail version of the game by selecting the 'Play in Low Detail' option when the game starts. This sacrifices some graphical quality for more speed on older graphics cards.
* Running PKR in a lower resolution. You can do this by selecting ‘Options’, then ‘Graphics’, then ‘Screen’ in the PKR client.
* If the game is still running slowly, try turning some of the graphical effects off in ‘Options’.
