I'm having connection problems with PKR. What can I do?

If you are having difficulty in playing PKR, due to the game slowing down or having connection problems, this could be caused by 2 main factors:

1 – Internet connection

You can check the speed of your connection in the game. On the top right info panel when at a table (next to GAME) is a dot which shows your connection speed. If it is green , your speed is good, orange is medium, and if it is red, the speed is bad. If your speed is not good, you can try the following to improve performance

- You need to connect to PKR using broadband connection. If you are using wireless, try to connect to the router using a cable.

- Make sure no one else in your house is using broadband heavy programs that are slowing down the Internet and close down any unnecessary programs running on your pc to increase its performance.

- Turn your router off for 30 seconds and turn it on again, to restart your connection.

- If you notice that you can normally play fine, but experience connection problems at a specific time (normally in the evening), it might be useful to check with your internet service provider to see if they restrict bandwidth at peak times.


2 – your pc specs:

Please make sure your pc meets all the system requirements, as set out here

Please also be sure to check that your graphics card is supported and that your graphics driver is no more than 6 months old.
