You will need to allow PKR to be able to play through a firewall. Some routers also have firewalls that need configuring for PKR too.
With most firewalls you will receive a prompt when PKR tries to connect to the internet- if you click on 'allow' this should be enough to allow PKR to connect. Sometimes you will need to restart PKR in order for this to take effect.
You may need to manually configure some firewalls, generally in the 'advanced' configuration options. To allow PKR using this method, browse to the directory you have installed PKR to and select the PKR exe.
If your firewall needs specific ports to be opened, they are listed below.
51330 to 51339
52330 to 52339
8018
8021
58019
Where possible, open these ports for both outgoing and incoming connections.
To find out how to open ports on your router, type its make and model (this should be printed on your Router) into an Internet Search Engine along with the words "port forwarding". - This is TCP, not UDP.
