Team PKR sets its sights on WSOP* 2007

We’ve assembled a team of previously undiscovered poker specialists in the world to join Team PKR and take on the 2007 World Series to bring home our first WSOP* bracelets!

They all qualified right here on PKR playing in a range of satellite tournaments and Premium freerolls that are open to all PKR real money players.

The team is listed below - be sure to check back on thier progress and cheer them on as the tackle the biggest poker event in the world!

Team PKR - Las Vegas 2007

Fifteen players have won their way in to the 2007 World Series so far on PKR. Check out the team we're sending to our first ever appearance at the world's biggest poker event and track their progress as we take on the best in the world!

	Winning his way in to the World Series Main Event in the Springfest Tournament of Champions, theone37 is set to take on his first World Series in the games biggest event. Check out theone37's My PKR page

Puresang
$1.5K World Series No Limit Hold 'em Shootout

Representing Team PKR at this years World Series $1.5K no limit hold 'em shootout event, Puresang from Montreal, Canada is competing in one of the WSOP's toughest events - the shootout. He'll be facing a knockout tournament structure where players stay on the same table until there's only one left standing - then start all over again. We'll be cheering for him all the way. 	Najammq Double Chance Qualifier
	Winner of the Double Chance Qualifier, Najammq earned his way to a shot at the World Series by earning PKR Points then winning the Double Chance Qualifiers freeroll. He'll be taking his $10K bankroll to Vegas and making his World Series dreams come true! Check out Najammq's My PKR page

MinniMe
$1.5K World Series Ladies Event Qualifier

One of three winner's of PKR's $3K World Series Ladies Event qualifier packages, MinniMe has only been playing poker for 18 months, but she's obviously a quick learner. She's already taken down a $1,400 prize in a televised event so we know she can handle the pressure. She'll be hoping to emulate her poker hero Kathy Liebert and come through in the crunch at the WSOP Ladies Event. Good luck MinniMe!

Update!:
It was a tough World Series for MinniMe and she went out on the first day of the Ladies Event. But she's not down - MinniMe went on to enter some smaller tournaments in Vegas, final tabling in one and gained valuable WSOP experience she plans to use to her advantage next time.

$1.5K World Series Ladies Event Qualifier

The third and final winner of PKR's $3K World Series Ladies Event qualifier packages, passdaces completes Team PKR's Ladies Event trifecta bringing a strong game and a big smile to the tables. Yeeehaw!

Update!:
passdaces beat out 1120 other competitors to come in a highly respectible 164th in a field of 1284 players. A very impressive result considering it was her first WSOP event. Well done!

Magicatour
$10K World Series Experience

His favourite pocket cards are A-A and the players he'd most like to meet over the felt at the WSOP are Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu - oh, and he classifies himself as a 'a little aggressive' (but only at the poker table). We've seen him play and he can be more than a little aggresive, let's hope his dreams come true and he sees those pocket rockets while sitting across from his poker heroes at the 2007 World Series!

He's still studying the form guide and deciding how he'll spend his $10K bankroll (courtesy of PKR) and chase the ultimate World Series Experience. 	With a name like that other players are bound to feel a little intimidated - especially since her games been compared to Gus Hansen's. 	A player with a cool head and sharp witswho likes to push his opponents to the edge - we've got a good feeling about this guy. $10K World Series Experience

Another relative newcomer to the game butterflies has put his 3 years poker experience to good use and played his way in to the World Series Experience of a lifetime. His goals, winning (obviously) taking down one of 'the Phils' (Ivey or Helmuth) in a big money tournament and leaving the workaday grind behind to go professional. He's off to a great start and we'll be keeping you up to date on his progress right here.

	Team PKR is taking on a huge variety of events at the 2007 World Series and we'd like nothing better than to be the home of the Omaha Champion! chanceV is in a great position to do it, coming out on top in the PKR qualifying tournament and packing his bags for Vegas - we'll be following him all the way to the top!. $5K Heads up Shootout

Representing Team PKR at this year's World Series $5K no limit hold 'em shootout event, SoooSick is competing in arguably the most intense World Series event of the year. He'll be facing a knockout tournament structure where players play heads up until there's only one left standing - it'll be tough, but he's proven time and again that he's got what it takes. 	Fewer players at the table means playing more hands and soaking up the pressure. But that's just fine as far as buster0405 is concerned. World Series Main Event

Another great Canadian on PKR, EvanG01could be the biggest thing to come out of Winnipeg since Dale Hawerchuk. When he isn't rocking the 'Peg with his band, EvanG01 is tearing up the felt with a rock solid game. Now he's played himeself into the WSOP Main Event and a shot at poker's biggest prize! We'll be cheering him, and the rest of Team PKR on all the way to the finsih. Go Evan Go!
