Sometimes featuring thousands of players, multi-table tournaments (MTTs) allow you to pit your wits against other players and compete for some really big prizes.

MTTs are scheduled events, meaning that they start at a specified date and time with players registering in advance. You can register at any time for an MTT from the moment it’s posted in the lobby to a minute before the start.

Once you’ve bought-in, you’ll start the MTT with the same number of chips as every other player and you’ll be randomly assigned a seat. As the name suggests, the large number of entrants are seated at more than one table (either in tables of six or ten players).

As the tournament progresses and players get knocked out, tables are closed and players are re-seated to ensure that conditions remain fair for all players. Eventually the tournament will get to the point where there are only enough players to sit on one table. These players will then battle it out until one player has all the chips in play and is the winner.
